At Home Cooking - T-Bone Steak with Lodge

Let's soak in the quality time spent at home as winter settles in with some delicious cooking with the help of Lodge Cast Iron.

Nothing says a hearty meal quite like a perfectly cooked steak. With the help of your Lodge skillet, you can have a restaurant quality meal right at home. Snag all your Lodge cookware essentials at Peace Marketplace (shop online or in store), and follow the Lodge's recipe and photo below for a delicious meal.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon canola oil

1 (1 to 1 1/2 inch thick) T-bone steak

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic

1 sprig fresh rosemary

Directions:

First, in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Next, sprinkle both sides of steak with salt and pepper. When skillet begins to smoke, add steak. Cook until browned, 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove steak from skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter, garlic, and rosemary to skillet and cook until butter begins to brown, 2-3 minutes. Last, return steak to skillet. Cook, basting with butter mixture, until steak has reached desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes more for medium rare.

*Peace Marketplace Tip: Pair this meal with August Hill Winery's Ginocchio (a dry red wine perfect for steaks). Shop Ginocchio and an assortment of other August Hill Wines right in the store!
